Agreement between user and Unicity

Welcome to www.unicity.com and related web pages (collectively “the Site”), which is operated by Unicity International, Inc. and its affiliate companies (collectively “Unicity”). The Site is offered to you conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein (the “Terms”). Your use of the Site constitutes your agreement to all such Terms. Please read these terms carefully, and keep a copy of them for your reference.

The Site is an e-commerce site

This site is intended to be used to browse content and make authorized purchases, and shall not be used for any other purpose.

Privacy

Your use of the Site is subject to the terms of Unicity’s Privacy Policy, which can be found by clicking on the “Privacy” link at the bottom of the Site. The Privacy Policy contains information about Unicity’s data collection and use. Please review it.

Electronic communications

Visiting the Site or sending emails to Unicity constitutes electronic communications. Your account

Product return policy

Unicity stands behind its products by offering purchasers who are not Unicity Distributors a 100% money-back satisfaction guarantee. If, for any reason, within sixty days after your purchase (or within ninety days after a purchase of Unicity Balance), you are dissatisfied with your Unicity product, Unicity will, upon your written request, issue to you a full purchase-price refund. To receive this refund, you must provide Unicity with a signed letter stating your reason for dissatisfaction and return all unused portions of the product, as well as the container. Thereafter you must provide a statement that you have received a full refund. This Guarantee applies to Customers only and is not extended to Unicity Distributors. Purchasers who are Unicity Distributors may return Unicity products purchased through the Site in accordance with Unicity’s Policies & Procedures for Distributors, which are available on the Site.

The Site may contain links to other websites (“Linked Sites”). The Linked Sites are not under the control of Unicity and Unicity is not responsible for the content of any Linked Site, including without limitation any link contained in a Linked Site, or any changes or updates to a Linked Site. Certain services made available via the Site are delivered by third party sites and organizations. If you do not want information about you to be shared in this manner, do not use this feature.

International users

The Site is controlled, operated and administered by Unicity from our offices within the USA and offices in other locations around the world. If you access the Site from a location outside the USA, you are responsible for compliance with all local laws. You agree that you will not use the content accessed through the Site in any country or in any manner prohibited by any applicable laws, restrictions or regulations.

Indemnification

You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and Unicity as a result of this Agreement or use of the Site. Unicity’s performance of this Agreement is subject to existing laws and legal process, and nothing contained in this Agreement is in derogation of Unicity’s right to comply with governmental, court and law enforcement requests or requirements relating to your use of the Site or information provided to or gathered by Unicity with respect to such use. If any part of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the Agreement shall continue in effect.

Unless otherwise specified herein, this Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the user and Unicity with respect to the Site and it supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral or written, between the user and Unicity with respect to the Site. A printed version of this agreement and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial, arbitration, or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to this Agreement to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form. It is the express wish of the parties that this Agreement and all related documents be written in English.

The exact location of the material before it was removed or disabled
A statement under penalty of perjury that the Respondent has a good faith belief that the copyrighted material has been removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification; and
The Respondent’s name, address, and telephone number along with a statement that the Respondent consents to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district in which he/she/it resides or, if the Respondent’s address is outside the United States, a statement that the Respondent consents to jurisdiction of the United States federal district court in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Send you a copy of the Respondent’s counter notification

Replace the alleged infringing material that was previously removed or cease disabling access to it not less than 10 nor more than 14 days following receipt of the Respondent’s counter notification, unless you have supplied Unicity’s designated agent with evidence that you have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the Respondent from engaging in the alleged infringement that was the subject of your written notification.

Unicity’s policy is to terminate the online privileges of individuals who repeatedly violate the copyrights of others.

Access to Personal Information

You have the right to request and obtain from Unicity the personal information Unicity has on file about you and request a correction of any data that is inaccurate. You may also request Unicity to inform you of the type of personal information maintained by Unicity. Call Recording Polices

For quality assurance and training purposes, Unicity records certain calls that we receive (including calls to Unicity customer service representatives) and make (including calls from Transformation coaching sessions). At the initiation of each such call, notice is given, either by the Unicity representative or via a pre-recorded notice, that the call is being recorded. These recordings are only kept for a short period of time and are then promptly and regularly deleted. While they are kept, they are only used for quality assurance and for training purposes. In the past, due to inadvertent errors in Unicity’s interactive voice response system and/or by its representatives, a limited number of calls to and from Unicity may have been recorded without first being notified that they would be recorded. Any such calls have been deleted. If you are concerned that a call between you and Unicity may have been recorded without your receiving notice beforehand, please send us an email at cs@unicity.com and let us know.

U.S. Health Information Privacy (HIPAA)

We understand that some of our U.S. distributors are “Covered Entities” under the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”) privacy regulations. As HIPAA Covered Entities, those distributors are legally obligated to maintain the privacy of all individually identifiable patient information that they create or receive. While Unicity is not a HIPAA Covered Entity , we remain committed to interacting with our distributors and customers in a responsible manner, consistent with applicable law and regulations.

In the decade that he has been with Unicity, he has successfully managed some of the company’s largest and most complicated markets. Dan Hughes joined Unicity in 2008 as part of the operations team, and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer in Asia Pacific. Previous to joining Unicity, Mr. Hughes was an engineer for Boeing Commercial Aircraft.

Mr. Hughes is currently responsible for all finance and operations in Unicity’s Asia Pacific markets, which includes finance and inventory management. He is also involved with opening new local markets, interacting with local leaders, and other market support.

Unicity was founded with a bold mission to make healthy living doable in an on-the-go world. And while the vision was big, the company came from small beginnings.

Unicity began with one product: Bios Life (later named “Balance”). Bios Life provided a unique way to support healthy cholesterol and blood sugar levels.

When the product was originally placed in retail stores throughout the United States, there was one problem: it didn’t sell as well as expected. Although the product had been endorsed by professionals for its unique qualities, it needed more explanation than the traditional nutrition label could offer.

As a result, a new person-to-person sales process was implemented. The model gave people the opportunity to connect with others and explain why Unicity products differed from generic supplements. From there, Unicity continued to expand and establish international markets as well as an ever-growing product selection.

In 2006, Unicity named Stewart Hughes as its New CEO. Hughes began as a successful distributor who initially joined Unicity because of the positive effects Bios Life had on his health. Because of the benefits that came from Bios Life, Hughes committed himself to helping others achieve better health.

Today, Unicity has 17 products listed in the PDR, 60+ markets in countries all over the world, and a growing selection of more than 400 products. The cost to become a Distributor is very low. You can join for as low as $40.00
People become Distributors for various reasons. Some Distributors join and sell our products part time to friends and family to earn some extra money. Others sell our products full time.
Just like any sales business, earning compensation takes considerable dedication, time, and effort. As such, the compensation earned by our Distributors varies significantly.
