For most of us, we hear the word “smell” and think of smelling garlic or flowers.

What we don’t understand is that at any given time we are being bombarded by hundreds of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are given off by people and by nature. These compounds are unconscious smells that enter the nose and send signals throughout the body, causing various physiological responses.

At Unicity, we’ve found that the body gives off over 400 different VOC chemical signatures that differ depending on your emotional and physiological state. CARBON STRIP
TECHNOLOGY

Unicity’s patented carbon strip absorbs and captures VOCs, allowing you to save them for later use. Our carbon strip is composed of hundreds of microscopic carbon fibers that intertwine together to create innumerable ridges. These ridges provide an expansive amount of surface area that allows for a significant absorption of emitted VOCs. Once absorbed, the VOCs will remain interlocked within the carbon strip until they are activated and released by an alcohol-based liquid.*

FAQ

How many carbon strips come with the pack?

The Pherosense kit comes with four pouches, and each pouch contains two carbon strips. Additional strips may be purchased separately.

How long do I need to wear the carbon strip?

For best results, it is recommended that you wear the carbon strip for 8 to 12 hours.

What liquid do I use to activate the carbon strip?

We recommend using your favorite perfume or cologne. The liquid used needs to have an alcohol base. Like VOCs, alcohol is an organic compound. The VOCs will only be lifted from carbon strip if mixed with another organic compound, such as alcohol.

How long will the VOC solution last?

The VOC solution is most effective if used within 1 to 2 weeks after the carbon strip application.
